Hello!

My name is Anastasia (Staci) Lynn Stillmunkes (she/her).  I am a self-taught portrait photographer based out of Des Moines with a degree in marketing from the University of South Dakota!

Photography has always been special to me, from the first time I picked up a camera and had absolutely no idea what to do with it, to now. It has been with me through so many times in my life, from exploring all the nooks and crannies of Des Moines, to traveling the country, to being with friends, my camera is always there. 

 

There's a word I once saw, and it has stuck with me from the moment I read the definition.

 

          "Meraki [may-rah-kee] (adjective) This is a word that modern Greeks                often use to describe doing something with soul, creativity, or love --                when you put "something of yourself" into what you're doing,                            whatever it may be."

If there is one quote or saying that I take with me throughout my years of being a photographer, it's this one. Every photo, every shoot is a creative outlet and a chance to put something of myself into my photography.
